Salmon is a delicious fish, but it can sometimes get dry when cooked. This recipe is amazing because it makes for a light moist salmon, that is delicious and not dry at all. In addition, the sauce has a light sweet taste that kids love. All around a great way for the whole family to enjoy salmon! Plus, the recipe is extremely easy to make!
The recipe I am using is available in French here.
Ingredients
- 1 lbs salmon
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon minced ginger
- 4 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
Servings: people
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic and minced ginger. This is the sauce.
- Place the salmon and the sauce in a Ziploc bag. Put the Ziploc bag in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Place the salmon on aluminum foil on a pan or dish that goes in the oven. Bake for 20 minutes. Half-way through baking, add some of the leftover sauce from the Ziploc bag to the salmon.
- About 5 minutes before the salmon is done baking, put the remainder of the leftover sauce from the Ziploc bag in a pot. Let it boil on the stove for about 3 minutes.
- When the salmon is done, take it out of the oven. Drizzle the sauce you just boiled on the salmon. Enjoy!
Recipe Notes
I recommend using wild-caught salmon. The king salmon is particularly good.
