Nutella® is to French kids as Peanut Butter is to American kids. There are so many delicious recipes for Nutella® pastries. I like this French recipe for Nutella® Puff Pastry Rolls as the rolls are so easy to make that kids can make them themselves! So fun! And of course, delicious for kids and adults alike!
This recipe is from French Chef Jean-François Mallet (Simplissime desserts).
1 Puff Pastry
2 Tablespoons of Nutella®
2 Tablespoons of Shredded Coconut
You can find Puff Pastry in any US grocery store. I find that the puff pastry that most resemble the French one is from the Dufour Brand. You can find it in organic stores or online. It looks like this:
Making the Puff Pastry Rolls
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Roll out the puff pastry on parchment paper and make a rectangular shape. Spread Nutella® on the puff pastry, and sprinkle the shredded coconut all over it. Roll it tightly.
Put the rolled-up dough in the freezer for 30 minutes.
Cut the roll in slices, and put the slices on a baking pan covered with parchment paper.
Bake for 15–20 minutes. Let the rolls cool down, and enjoy!
