Easy Tomato and Sausage Bake

This is a VERY easy toma­to and sausage bake recipe. Per­fect for when you don’t want to spend much time cook­ing, and need a meal that every­one, includ­ing kids, will love to eat!

This quick and easy recipe is from my favorite cook­book Sim­plis­sime by French chef Jean-Fran­cois Mal­let. This book con­tains lots of quick and easy recipes, and they are all deli­cious! I have the French ver­sion, but it has now been trans­lat­ed into Eng­lish. If you are inter­est­ed, you can pur­chase the Eng­lish ver­sion here:


For 4 people:

20 oz. Red and Orange Cher­ry Toma­toes (essen­tial­ly 2 small packs)
4 Sausages (or 8 small ones)
2 branch­es of Fresh Rosemary

Mal­let’s recipe is for Mer­guez Sausage. Mer­guez is a spicy sausage that is very pop­u­lar in France. I could not find any Mer­guez in any of my local gro­cery stores in the US. How­ev­er, this recipe is deli­cious with any type of sausage so any sausage you want to buy will be fine. If you nev­er­the­less want to try the recipe with Mer­guez, you can pur­chase Mer­guez on Ama­zon (see link at bot­tom of page).

Baking the tomatoes and sausages

Step 1

Pre­heat oven to 340 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2

Cut the cher­ry toma­toes in halves.

Step 3

Put the sausages in a Bak­ing Dish , and bake them for 10 minutes.

Step 4

Add the toma­toes. Bake sausages and toma­toes for anoth­er 10 minutes.

Step 5

Add the fresh rosemary.

That is it! So easy! Now enjoy a deli­cious meal!
