Easy Chocolate-Pear Cake

Choco­late and Pear go so well togeth­er, I real­ly want­ed to make a deli­cious cake that com­bined both fla­vors. Final­ly got around to doing it. This is a quick and easy choco­late-pear cake that deliv­ers results!

I am using a French recipe from a fel­low blog­ger (though I am using a lit­tle less sug­ar than she is). This is a cake that is quick and easy to make. Enjoy!

Instruc­tions
  1. Melt the choco­late and the but­ter togeth­er in the microwave (it took 1 minute and 30 sec­onds in my microwave).
  2. In a sal­ad bowl, beat the eggs. Add the melt­ed choco­late-but­ter mix. Mix the sug­ar and flour togeth­er, and add them to the sal­ad bowl. Mix, but not for too long.

  3. Pour the mix­ture in a cake pan of about 9 inch­es. (make sure you but­ter the cake pan so the cake does not stick to the pan).
  4. Remove the pears from the can (with­out the syrup), and place them on the choco­late cake.

  5. Bake for about 25 min­utes at 350 degrees Fahren­heit. If the mid­dle part of the cake is still soft when you take the cake out of the oven, this is nor­mal, it is meant to be that way.
  6. Option­al: sprin­kle with pow­dered sug­ar. Enjoy! Note: It is best when eat­en warm/lukewarm.

Note: You can use fresh pears instead of canned pears, if you pre­fer.
