  1. In a big shal­low dish, mix the milk, the eggs, the vanil­la extract, and the gran­u­lat­ed sug­ar. Place 4 slices of bread on the mix­ture. Soak each side for about a minute.
  2. In a skil­let, with a lit­tle bit of but­ter, fry the bread, about a minute or two on each side, on medi­um-high heat.
  3. Sprin­kle with gran­u­lat­ed sug­ar before serv­ing. Enjoy!
